The Houlton Police Department is currently accepting applications forPolice Officers/Dispatcher to join our team. We are looking for professional minded individuals committed to understanding and protecting the ethical and cultural values of Aroostook County.Police Officers/Dispatcher are vital to public safety and must be able to work in a fast pace, high stress environment. Applicants must possess a valid Maine driver’s license, high school diploma or G.E.D, be 21 years of age, no criminal convictions or significant driving history. Successful applicants will undergo an oral board interview, extensive background check, polygraph exam, drug screening, psychological exam and a physical fitness test (police officers only). Successful applicants will receive correspondence from the Chief regarding acceptance into the hiring process.
